Luxury Bedroom Decor

After a long and tiring day, we just want to snuggle in our bedroom. A place that welcomes us after the long grind.
A place that you want to relax and recharge. Isnt it?

And so it is important you create a space that makes you feel welcomed and also helps you create a space that is luxurious too.

Here I am sharing few tips to make your bedroom look expensive and stylish, without breaking the bank!

Let’s cozy up your space to the next level; shall we?

1. Style With A Rug

By adding a rug, you can create a visually rich and very layered bedroom look.

Not only does it boost the style factor but instantly pulls the overall look of the bedroom to give it a newer look.

Rugs bring that aesthetic feeling to any basic looking space.

There are many types of rugs. You can either go for a textured one, a woolen one, a silk one or even a soft fluffy one (go with soft fluffy one, if you are someone like me).

2.  Zhush Up With Throw Pillows

There’s something really different about throw pillows. It goes a long way in transforming your bedroom from a basic look to a more plushed one.

You can as well change your throw pillows per seasons. This will make your bedroom decor look fresh with the changing seasons.

These over-filled pillows bring the same look like those at fancy 5 star hotels. Where you want to just sink into the comfort and silkiness of these plumped cushions and pillows.

Definitely brings luxury to my sleeping space.

3. Hanging Light Fixture

Get away with those boob lights or domed lights.

Make a statement in your bedroom. Get away with them and add something more upscale, like a sputnik chandelier or a crystal chandelier to give that high-end feel.

You can now experience the luxe feel without breaking your bank as there are many trendy lighting options. And, these are  quite economical on your pocket.

4. Got A Nightstand?

I am sure your nightstand is almost similar to mine. Its a hodgepodge of things like handcreams, oils, lotions, charging wires and much more.

In order to zush it up, you can stash away unwanted items in drawers. And for your daily use, you can display items in a beautiful tray.

Cool idea, right?

5. Have A Statement Piece

Each bedroom should have its own focal area.

It can either be a wooden bed frame or a velvet arm chair or a gilded dresser or even a night lamp.

Point is to avoid overcluttering the room with too much furniture, and let the statement piece catch your attention. This way you can make your bedroom more expensive and luxurious!

6. Let The Floor Be Empty

One of the best organisation tip. Remember that a cluttered bedroom no matter how expensive the furtniure is, wont make the room give that luxurious feeling.

Keeping the floor clean means no wires or cords snugging or even books lying on the floor in an orderly fashion.

7. Upgrade Your Hardware

Okay i dont mean that you need to start cluttering the room. What you can do is get away with any extra hardwares that came with your dresser or nightstands or bed.

But if they are insanely stunning, then you can probably use it for the bedroom or use it in your living room or even kitchen (dont shy away from exploring an redesigning).

Such upgrades, give your bland bedroom an expensive feel and look!

8. Revamp Your Vanity Station

Your vanity station or the dressing table should be clean and neat. Any clutter on the table, will make the whole room look unclean.

How about investing in some good makeup organisers and a jewlery organiser?

9. Add Greenary

I love plants and what a good way to bring nature inside the house?

This is oneof the easiest and quickest way to take your room from bland to chic.

You can probably have a large fern? Or money plant? Or how about peace lilies?

By the way, peace lilies are great in removing toxins and allergens from the house. So why not keep them near your bedroom window or bedroom sill?

Cant afford luxury bedding? Dont fret!

10. Bring The Blanket Game On

Bring in a throw blanket instead. Yes!

A chunky knit throw at the foot of your bed will give your bed that deluxe feel. No more looking at an exhausted comforter or duvet.

10. Spruce Up Your Mirror

If are still holding to your dear heart, the plain mirror you owned in college, i think its time you did some sprucing?

Why dont you try an antique-inspired brass mirror or add an abstract wall mirror or a large arched wall floor mirror?

This will definitely open up the room and make it look more chic. When placed in one corner, it gives the feel of elegance and romance in a very tasteful fashion.

And if you choose a large floor length mirror, it creates an illusion of more space. Plus also adds a lot of depth to the overall aestehtics.

Now go ahead and take the elegant vibe a step further.

11. Raise the Curtains

Got curtains in your bedroom?

Did you know that curtains can change the overall look and feel of any of your room, including your bedroom?

And, did you know that they add texture to the room and soften the overall look?

Yes, it does. And that too without costing your wallet.

Isn’t it great?

Just a general rule of thumb, make sure that your floor-length curtains skirt along the floor and not drag. Also, do not leave much of a gap.

And hang your curtains close to the ceiling. This way, it creates an optical illusion of elongated walls. Plus, makes your ceiling appear more grander and taller.

12. Bring in a Tray

I like to add trays on my night stand. It gives me a magazine worthy bedside feel.

And if it wasnt for the ceramic dish on my night stand, you would find memorabilia scattered all over the place!

It definitely helps me keep it orangised. Be it my books or glasses, my bobby pins or even my phone. Not only is everything within easy reach but creates a stylish display.

Oh and for those cozy winter-y nights, I love to light a candle.

13. Add Some Texture

Now to give that luxe feel, add some textrual elements. How about trying a faux fur throw on your side chair?

or , how about adding rattan baskets or a sheep skin rug by the bed? On the floor?

To get that boho look, you can even try out a woven light fixture. A little fun and experiment.

Dont forget to sneak in some pom poms and tassels in your pillows and blankets.

You need to find what fits your taste and style.
